EFECTOS DEL HERBICIDA 2-CLORO-2,6-BIS-ETILAMINA-S-TRIAZINA, SOBRE ALGUNOS TEJIDOS DE COLOSSOMA MACROPOMUM Cuvier 1818 (PISCES: CHARACIDAE)

Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar los posibles efectos del herbicida 2-cloro-2,6-bis-etilamina-S-triazina, sobre algunos tejidos de Colossoma macropomum. Se estudiaron cuatro peces, expuestos y cuatro no expuestos al mismo (controles). Se les disecó partes del tejido muscular dorsal y caudal, intestinal y renal, las cuales fueron procesadas posteriormente por las técnicas rutinarias de microscopia electrónica de transmisión. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron alteraciones patológicas en todos los tejidos analizados de aquellos peces expuestos al herbicida, tales como: atrofia con una disposición no paralela de las miofibrillas, sistema sarcotubular hinchado, fibrosis, escasez de heterocromatina en el núcleo, alteraciones a nivel de los túbulos renales, mitocondrias hinchadas, lisosomas primarios presentes y vacuolas autofágicas. Se puede inferir que este herbicida usado en labores agrícolas produce efectos deletéreos sobre las características morfológicas celulares en varios órganos de esta especie. ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to assess the possible effects of the herbicide 2-chloro-2,6-bis-ethylamino- S-triazin on some tissues of Colossoma macropomum. Eight fish specimens were subject to study, 4 previously exposed to the herbicide and 4 nonexposed ones used as references. Parts of their dorsal and caudal muscle tissue, as well as intestinal and renal tissue, were desiccated and subsequently processed by transmission electron microscopy. The results showed pathological alterations in all the tissues of the fish subject to the herbicide, such as atrophy and myofibrillar disarray, swelling of the sarcotubular system, fibrosis, scarcity of heterochromatine in the nucleus, alteration of the renal tubules, swollen mitochondria, presence of primary lysosomes and autophagic vacuoles. It is thus concluded that herbicides used in agricultural activities have deleterious effects on the cell morphology of various organs of this species.
